This new handbook was just released and contains a wealth of up-to-date information and deals with the new regulation. This is a .pdf format file that requires Adobe Acrobat (A slow download - 109 pages) National Network of Partnership Schools - a resource to guide your school in developing a strong School, Family and Community Partnership program. This is the network operated by Dr. Joyce Epstein of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore - featuring the Six Types of Involvement Framework for parental and community involvement. Ontario's School Improvement Planning Handbook - a publication of the Education Improvement Commission for guiding Principals, Teachers and School Councils to work together towards common goals and school improvement plans. The framework of Dr. Joyce Epstein is embedded within this handbook, with specific approaches for schools in Ontario. Parental Involvement Resource Handbook - A resource guidebook developed by the York Region District School Board. This was built to supplement the E.I.C. School Improvement Planning Handbook. (Another .pdf file) EQAO - The website for the office that coordinates, analyses and distributes the EQAO test results. There is information here about how to use the results to focus the school improvement efforts of parents, staff and the community. People for Education - The leading Ontario advocacy group in support of a fully funded public education system.
