'Parent Involvement' describes such a wide range of different activities that it essentially defies a useful definition. This research project is intended to redefine 'Parent Involvement' and break it into units that can be described. The starting place is a broad definition of the different kinds of parents within a school community.
All are important and valid roles, however, they are different roles. 'Involvement' as a parent is different than 'involvement' as a volunteer and so on. Click on the buttons to the left to learn more about the needs of each of these different kinds of people - found within every school community. This project is fairly new, so it will evolve and expand throughout 2002. |
