This is one of the new types involvement added for Ontario to recognize the great work done in organizing social events. Some might double as fundraisers, but often they are organized simply to get people together. When children see their parents at the school, it provides a sense of reassurance that their parents value the school. As simple as it seems, this has a positive effect on student learning.
