A framework developed in 2000 to define five distinct stages of development for School Councils in Ontario. Additional research will be undertaken to further refine and clarify these stages. Once that stage of the research is complete, a series of action steps will be designed to enable interested School Councils in moving themselves forward, toward the next stage of development.
